TimeSheet Verification

MAIN MENU >   Attendance > TimeSheet

An employee verifies their timesheet, within the window of time defined in the timesheet verification criteria, by default, after a pay period ends and prior to the employee being paid (pay period transaction date), to certify that their record of time worked, during a particular pay period, is correct. Prior to verifying a timesheet, the employee should review their timesheet and request any corrections necessary. TimeSheet verifications may not be necessary depending on the Timesheet Verification criteria that is defined.

The Timesheet Verification and TimeSheet Authorization process can reduce the number of corrections required after an employee has already been paid, as well as increase the integrity of your records, although payroll can still be processed whether or not timesheets have been verified or authorized.

To Verify a Timesheet:

  • Click Attendance, then click Timesheet in the main menu.
  • If all the verification criteria has been met, a Verify button will appear in a Pending Employee Verification box on the bottom right of the listing/details section. To set the TimeSheet Verification go to Pay Period Schedule, Advanced Tab.
  • Click the Verify button.
  • Click Agree to agree to the statement in the pop-up box or click Disagree to Cancel. If required this will notify the supervisor who can now authorize the TimeSheet.
NOTE:  If the timesheet has critical severity exceptions, they must be corrected before the timesheet can be verified.
NOTE:  If a timesheet is changed after it has been verified, that verification is cleared, making it necessary to re-verify the timesheet.
