Legal Entities

A Legal Entity is any entity that has legal rights and responsibilities from a payroll perspective. The legal entity information such as trade name and address will appear on pay stubs and tax forms. TimeTrex supports more than one Legal Entity.
To add a new Legal Entity:
- Click Company, then click Legal Entities.
- Click New in the button bar.
- Complete the fields and click the Save button.

To project the full payroll cost for the current pay period, select the legal entity, click the More button in the button bar, then click Projected Pay Period Costs. TimeTrex displays the projected cost range for the current pay period, including the pay period dates and confidence level.

The business structure of the legal entity such as partnership, corporation etc. |
| Classification Code |
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classification code for this legal entity. |
| Legal Name |
The full legal, registered name of this entity. |
| Trade Name |
The name under which this entity does business, other than the legal name. Often referred to as "doing business as" or "dba". |
| Start Date (Optional) |
The date this legal entity began business. |
| End Date (Optional) |
The date this legal entity ceased business. |
| Logo |
Upload an image file containing the legal entity logo. |
