T4 Summary Report (Canada)
A T4 Summary Report compiles the data from individual T4 slips issued to employees, including total earnings, Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributions, Employment Insurance (EI) premiums, and income tax deductions for a specified calendar year. Employers use this summary to report total income and deductions for all employees, ensuring compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax regulations. It provides both the employer and the CRA with accurately calculated tax liabilities and potential refunds. Typically, this report is filed annually alongside individual T4 slips for each employee.
