A Payroll Export report creates an export file containing employees' time worked and earnings over a specified period. The Payroll Export Report's Export Setup tab offers various export formats to suit different software requirements as well as Generic Excel/CSV and CMS Payroll Based Journal (PBJ).

NOTE: The Payroll Export Report should only be used to export time and earnings data to third-party payroll software. If you do not need to export data to other software, use the TimeSheet Detail Report or Pay Stub Summary Report instead. If you are using TimeTrex for processing payroll this report is not necessary.

Payroll Export Formats
EXPORT FORMAT	DESCRIPTION
ADP	CSV export for ADP payroll, mapping employee file number and TimeTrex hour codes to ADP regular, overtime, and Hours 3/4 columns.
ADP (Advanced)	ADP CSV with additional labor distribution fields such as state, department, job cost, rate, and detailed grouping.
ADP Resource/Pay eXpert	ADP Resource/Pay eXpert CSV, similar to advanced ADP but using "Other Hours" fields instead of Hours 3/4.
Paychex Preview	Fixed-width Paychex Preview time import file with employee number, earning code, and hours.
Paychex Preview (by Day/Job)	Paychex Preview export broken out by day/job, with optional job, rate, and state override details.
Paychex Online Payroll	CSV with one row per employee and one column per configured earning/hour code.
Paychex Flex	CSV for Paychex Flex "hours only" import, using company ID, worker ID, pay component, and hours.
Ceridian Insync	.imp export for Ceridian Insync with employer number, employee number, hour code, hours, and costing fields.
Millennium	CSV export for Millennium/Qqest with employee number, transaction code, hour code, and hours.
QuickBooks Pro	QuickBooks .iif timer activity import using employee name, payroll item, duration, and optional job/item/project mapping.
SurePayroll	CSV export with SurePayroll header plus employee, payroll code, pay period end date, and hours.
Chris21	Fixed-width Chris21 export with employee, pay period date, adjustment/hour code, signed hours, job, leave, and cost center fields.
MUNIS (VA)	Fixed-width .prn export for MUNIS with department, employee, dates, GL account, absence flag, pay code, and hours.
Accero	Fixed-width Accero payroll export with employee, regular/overtime hours, earning override, week end date, and department override.
CompuPay	CSV export with employee number, DET earning code, and hours.
Sage 50	.imp timeslip export for Sage 50, grouping employee timeslip entries by customer/item and hours.
Meditech	Fixed-width Meditech payroll export with header/detail/trailer records, earning number, hours, department, job code, rate, and week.
Vensure	CSV export with employee identifier, pay code, hours, pay rate, job, division, location, and department.
Generic Excel/CSV	Basic CSV export with employee, employee number, default branch/department, pay period, hour code, and hours.
Generic Excel/CSV (Advanced)	Customizable CSV using selected report columns plus hour code, hours, and hourly rate; supports detail/job-derived data.
CMS Payroll Based Journal (PBJ)	Professional+ XML export for CMS PBJ staffing submission, with facility/state, pay type, job title, employee, work date, and PBJ hours.
