Passwords and Security

EMPLOYEE PROFILE MENU >   Passwords/Security

Changing your Web Password:

  • Click on the Employee Profile menu drop-down arrow on the far right of the header bar and then click Passwords/Security. The Web Password tab will be displayed.

  • In the New Password field, enter a new password.

NOTE:  Web Passwords are case sensitive and must be at least 6 digits/characters and must not contain any part of your name or personal identification information such as first/last name, address, etc. Passwords must also meet a minimum "strength" requirement, which essentially requires passwords to contain a sufficient number of unique digits/characters/special characters. For example: "1111111111" will not be a valid password, nor would "123456", but "boat-735" would be.

  • Click on the Quick Punch Password tab.

  • In the New Quick Punch Password field enter a new quick punch password.

  • Confirm your New Quick Punch Password by re-entering the same password in the New Quick Punch Password (Confirm) field.

  • Click Save.

NOTE:  A Quick Punch Password is a numeric password with a minimum of four digits and maximum eight digits. They cannot be all the same number.

Security - Multifactor Authentication

Multifactor Authentication increases security by requiring a user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to TimeTrex, such as using the Mobile App and the device's fingerprint and facial recognition options where supported. Each employee must individually enable multifactor authentication.

Enabling Multifactor Authentication:

  • Click on the Employee Profile menu drop-down arrow on the far right of the header bar and then click on Passwords / Security.

  • Click on the Multifactor Authentication tab.

  • In the Multifactor Type drop-down field select the type of authentication to be used.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Click Save.
