Punching In/Out using Facial Recognition

Employees must be enrolled prior to being able to punch in/out using facial recognition. If the employee is not yet enrolled refer to Enrolling an Employee using Facial Recognition.

When the mobile app is first launched, Tap the Punch In/Out icon and the camera preview screen will appear. This screen should always stay on the device while waiting for an employee to punch in/out.

 

To Punch In/Out using Facial Recognition, the employee would perform the following steps:

• Position themselves standing in front of the device (See images below). The employee then looks directly at the device screen by bending only from the neck or tilting their head downward.
• Follow any instructions that may appear on the screen, for example "Please move forward a little".
• Once the employee is successfully identified, a confirmation sound will be heard (depending on the volume setting) and the punch confirmation screen will appear.
• Once the punch confirmation screen appears the punch will automatically be saved or the employee may modify the punch settings and then Tap Save.
