Audit Trail Report
The Audit Trail Report is a comprehensive log that records all actions and changes made within the system. It tracks who performed each action (employee), what was changed (object), how was it changed (actions such as add, edit or delete), when the changes occurred (date/time) and the specifics of those changes (description). This can include modifications to employee information, schedules, time punches, policies, payroll data, requests, stations or any other element within the system.
The report is essential for ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. It helps administrators monitor system usage, identify potential issues or unauthorized changes, and maintain the integrity of workforce data. This report is often used during audits, investigations, or reviews to verify that all actions within the system are properly documented and traceable.
Whenever records are edited, the Audit log is conveniently accessible from the Audit tab. The following image shows the audit history of a department.
