Version: 16.16.0 - Released: 17-Oct-2025

Highlights:

  • NOTICE: Regarding the US One-Big-Beautiful-Bill Act (OBBBA) which implements a temporary no tax on overtime.

While we wait for full guidance from the IRS, we recommend reviewing your organization’s overtime policies at a high level to identify which types of overtime qualify under the FLSA (typically, hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek) and which do not, such as:

    • Daily overtime required by state law.

    • Double-time or other premium pay not mandated by FLSA.

    • Overtime or special pay to exempt employees.

Once you’ve determined which categories of overtime are considered qualified, contact support and they can help you configure TimeTrex to track and report this compensation correctly for when the new IRS rules take effect in 2026.

If all your overtime pay already qualifies under FLSA standards, no immediate changes to your TimeTrex setup are needed at this time.
